Men's Curling Round Robin Morning results

Final scores

RUS 4-7 GB

Great Britain's men's curling team got their Sochi Winter Olympics campaign off to a winning start with a 7-4 victory over hosts Russia.

David Murdoch's rink scored four points in the sixth end to help beat Russia, who were sporting eye-catching trousers with a swirling red and white design.

The GB men are considered serious medal hopes and are ranked second in the world, eight places above Russia.

They have a second game later on Monday, against Sweden.

The GB women, who are the current world champions, start against Sweden, who beat them to the European title in December.

SUI 5-7 SWE
CHN 7-4 DEN
CAN 11-8 GER
