ATP World Tour Finals Day 5

Nishikori bt Ferrer 4-6, 6-4, 6-1

Kei Nishikori has boosted his chances of qualifying for the semi-finals of the ATP World Tour Finals by beating David Ferrer in three sets.
Ferrer was a late replacement for the injured Milos Raonicand the Spaniard settled into the match straight away, winning the first set 6-4.
Nishikori fought back to win the second set 6-4, wrong-footing Ferrer with a delicate lob.
Ferrer began to show his frustration, lashing out at the court with his racket in between sets.
Nishikori took advantage and raced to win the final set 6-1, winning the match 4-6 6-4 6-1.
A straight-sets win for Andy Murray over Roger Federer later this evening is the only way Nishikori can miss out on qualification for the semi-finals.

Federer bt Murray 6-0, 6-1

Roger Federer produced a stunning display to defeat Andy Murray 6-0 6-1 in just 56 minutes in this evening's ATP Tour World Finals encounter at London's O2 Arena.
The British number one had to defeat the 17-time Grand Slam champion in straight sets in order to secure his progress to the semi-finals, but this prospect was extinguished after just 24 minutes.
The Swiss veteran broke serve after Murray struck a volley into the net, before hitting a forehand long to put Federer 2-0 up in the first set.
The 33-year-old grew into the contest as he proceeded to up his game and seal the set flawlessly without too much difficulty.
Federer went on to break Murray at the first chance in the second set, the British number one's second double fault proving costly.
Worse was to come for the Scottish 27-year-old as his opponent tallied up more unforced errors to gift Federer another break, his tenth game on the bounce.
Murray did manage to avoid a double-bagel by getting a game on board towards the end of the contest, but this was a mere consolation, as Federer secured the match immediately afterwards.
