RBS 6 Nations Week 5 ITA 0-29 FRA

ITA 0-29 FRA

France have dominated Italy in their Six Nations encounter, thrashing them 29-0.

Both teams started poorly, while making simple errors.

The game remained scoreless until the 28th minute, when Camille Lopez successfully converted a penalty; achieving what the three previous kickers couldn't.

After going 3-0 up, France clicked and started converting their chances as Lopez was on hand to double their lead five minutes later.

France went into the half 9-0 ahead, with Italy posing no signs of staging a comeback.

The visitors converted a couple more second-half penalties before making their first breakthrough.

Yoann Maestri provided a moment of quality as he scored his first try for France in 35 matches.

The Italians still had no reply as the French took control of the game.

Mathieu Bastareaud went over in the 81st minute to complete the performance in what was a one-sided affair for most of the second half.
