Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that USA international defender DeAndre Yedlin will join the club in January.It was recently reported that Spurs were on the verge of landing the 21-year-old, who has spent the past two years with Seattle Sounders.
Yedlin, who was part of the USA squad at the 2014 World Cup, has made 10 appearances for his country.
"He is a young player with great potential who has already achieved a lot in the MLS," Spurs coach Mauricio Pochettino told the club's official website. "It is important for his development that he is given the time to adapt to his new surroundings both on and off the pitch. We believe that by coming to us in January it will give him the best opportunity to do so."
Tottenham are back in action on Boxing Day when they travel to Leicester City in the league.
